A large group of participants of the Citizenship by Investment Program by St. Kitts and Nevis, have faced unfair and unlawful actions from the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) between 2022 and 2023. These participants had successfully completed the Due Diligence procedures and transferred their contributions to the state fund, but received letters from CIU stating that CIU would not issue passports. The monies have never been returned. The St. Kitts and Nevis government is unlawfully withholding the refunds.

Mr. Michael Martin
The head of the St.Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by investment Unit (CIU) is Michael Martin. Under his management, the refunds have been unlawfully withheld, applicants have been ignored and misled.
What’s been happening
In 2021-2022 CIU received contributions from a large group of eligible applicants.
The applications were valid, met KYC requirements and was officially approved by the CIU.
After receipt of the contributions CIU decided that it would stop processing the applications in question for no legal reasons.
CIU declared that the applicants could receive refunds. However, CIU wouldn't commit themselves to repaying due diligence costs and making up for all fees paid to middlemen, local agents and other paraphernalia (all easily adding up to $25K and up).
Once the refund is claimed, CIU would not make it for no earthly reason.
The monies have been unlawfully kept by the St.Kitts and Nevis government.
Retroactive cancelation letter for citizens of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.
Other facts about the St.Kitts and Nevis passport program and CIU
You’re not guaranteed that you won’t be the next victim.
Your requests to the CIU would fall on deaf ears.
Even if you manage to get a response (e.g. that you are eligible for your refund, that it’s been granted, etc.), they won’t act on it (i.e. you will not receive your money back).
